You shouldn't waste your money and time reading this series.
The first few volumes are okay, but the story and the characters will get messed up later on.
Better not expect a lot from this series and the author.

I read the first book, and it's off to a pretty good start. The translation flows very well, and it feels like a good revitalization of the Japanese, which is a bit dated. Also the first five books form a complete, well-crafted story -- I wouldn't be surprised if they only translated the first five to avoid the problems later on in the series.

最初、英語が苦手な私は、グイン、リンダ、イシュトヴァーン……よく知っているキャラクターたちが英語のスペルになるとこんなふうなんだ~、と眺めているだけでした。
が！
お気に入りのシーンを拾い読みし、そのうちに原書と照らし合わせながら読み始めたらものすごくおもしろくなって止まりません。

原書の雰囲気をとても忠実に訳してくれているなぁと嬉しくなりました(^^)
カッコいい文章や美しい文章もバンバン出てきます！
英語が苦手で敬遠なさっているかた、原書の日本語だけでいいや、と思っておられるかた、一度読んでみると変わりますよ(^^)
ついでに（笑）英語の勉強にもなります。
