　各精油ごとの説明だけでなく、それぞれの精油の写真、その植物のイラスト・写真などが載っているので、本文読むだけでなく、図鑑のように眺めても楽しめます。The Illustratedではなく、ただのThe Encyclopedia of Essential Oils もありますが、イラストの載ったこちらの方がみていて楽しめると思います。

100種を超える精油について、写真付で解説されている楽しい図鑑。アロマ愛好家なら一度は見ておきたい本です。手元に置いて、ときどき眺めるだけでも私は楽しい＾＾
ElementBooks社は、こういったHowToモノの写真図鑑がとても得意な出版社。単純にアロマテラピーをテーマにした図鑑もあります。
この本も、一応翻訳のものが出ていますが、価格がなんと11,000円なり・・・高すぎ。
英語自体は、そんなに難しい文章ではないので、辞書片手に読めるレベルの本。

難を言えば、学術的には今ひとつ内容が薄い感じがします。
専門家になるための勉強をする人には、この他に専門的な精油事典が必要。
