世界中のワイン産地の地図・写真と、定評あるワイン評論家による解説。
飲んでるワインがどんなところで作れられているか興味があれば開いて
見るもよし、適当に眺めていると、ここのワインはどんなものか飲みたく
なる。
前回第5版は2001年なので6年ぶりの改版で、400ページと50ページ弱増え、
全般的に解説が充実し、特にオーストラリアやアメリカなど新大陸の解説
が増えている。構成はほぼ同じだが、産地の写真はほとんど入れ替わっ
ているので、また買っても損した気にはならない。
★４つは重くなったため。内容は確実にアップしています。

大変に美しい本です、図、写真もいっぱいですが、文字もいっぱいです。
文字による内容も充実しているようです、（一部しか読めていない）
訳本は３倍の値段ですがそれだけの価値はありそうです、版の問題が
クリアされればですが。これだけの大部の本を訳すのは大変だろうと思うのですが
期待しています。
英語が堪能ならばもちろん五つ星。

それがし、こっちを購入してしまいました（安いから）でも〜、
結局は、日本語訳済みを購入したほうが、お得。という結論に達しています。。
しかし、英語だからどーのとか、こーのとか、書いてあることは内容は同じです（たぶん）
ワインの本で日本語で記してあるということはすごく希少です、すこし背伸びすれば（英語）もっと豊かな世界が広がって、英語圏は圧倒的なワイン愛飲人口を誇って、の、その入門書としてこっちの英語版を購入するに損なことはありません。ワイン関連の語彙は同じですし、他の書物へと誘う、ワインへの尽き果てぬ好奇心を刺激する、良書であると思われます。
