シンプルなテーブルアイテムを使った、おしゃれなテーブルセッティングのアイデアがたくさん載っています。私のような面倒くさがりやでも、頑張らずにできそうなものばかり。使っているアイテムがとにかくシンプル（透明、または真っ白なガラスのお皿やグラス、白いキャンドルなど）で、そこに置く食べ物や注ぐ飲み物で色合いをつけていくというデコレートが多いようです。よーく考えたら、こんなお皿もグラスもキャンドルも針金も、オリエンタルな小さなぐい飲みもクロスもみーんな100円ショップでそろってしまいそう…。
お金なんてなくったって、アイデア次第でこんな素敵なテーブルセッティングができちゃうんだって実感できるはず！さっそう実践して、おうちでカフェ、しちゃいませんか？

爽やかで可愛らしい色使いのテーブルセッティングが沢山載っています。伝統的なセッティングというよりも、 今の若い人達にピッタリマッチした、日常のセッティングです。 写真もかわいく参考にできるものばかりで、最後にはフォーマルセッティングの基本も写真で載っているので、大変よくできた本だと思います。

著者のEmily Chalmersのセンスに惚れた貴重な一冊でもあります。
兎に角、彼女は「ソコ（底）から明るい」と言う雰囲気を感じます。
そして、ハインセンス過ぎて手がとどかず、眺めてるだけよ・・・。と言う
ありがちなインテリア本ではなくて、自分でもやれるかもー？！と
ワクワクさせるモノがあります。

使用の素材がお高いブランドものとか、そういう感じではなくて、
雑貨屋で見つけた気になるをメインに・・・とか。
チープな中国製のハチミツカップや、ハンドバックのカタチをした
ネームカードなど、雑貨（コレクティブル）好きにもタマラナイですね。

全体的に実生活とつながるコーディネイトになっていると思います。

内容は英語ですが･･･ツールセレクトのポイントなどの解説があり、
眺めても、読んでも夢が広がる本です。
Emilyの本を読むならまず、コチラからオススメします。

インテリアセンスは急に身に付くモノでもなく、また、欲しい家具や
雑貨も同じで必要な時に巡り合うモノではないですよね。
日々の生活で、養って、出会っていくものだと思います。
