著者はノースイースタン大学のユーザビリティのテキストとしてこれを記述した。サイト評価法についての内容が中心で、ヒューマンファクターやアクセシビリィティ、統計法等も記されている。テスティングとリデザインについても詳しく書かれている。リデザインとは循環するデザインコンセプトである。サイトは一度作ってしまって完成ということはない。むしろ更新を繰り返し、よりユーザーにとって魅力的になるべきものなのだ。ビジネスにおいてユーザビリティ改善が有効であることも述べられている。対象読者は企業サイトの企画者。Webデザイナーが参考になる箇所は第5章「デザインガイドライン」がメインだろう。
