スポーツ・イラストレーテッド（SI）誌2006年水着特集号は、一流モデルが夢の共演を果たしたビーチ・パーティー。世界のすばらしいロケーションに国際的なスーパーモデル25人が集い、うち8人が表紙を飾る。表紙の8人はキャロリン・マーフィー、ダニエラ・ペストバ、エレ・マクファーソン、エルザ・ベニテス、レイチェル・ハンター、レベッカ・ロメイン、ベロニカ・ベレコバ、ヤミラ・ディアズ。今年9年目の企画として、スーパーモデル25人に加えて、スポーツ界の有名人も迎えている。今年登場する唯一のスポーツ選手はテニス界のスーパースター、マリア・シャラポア。

今年はダイアン・スミスが編集長を務める8号目。SI誌による毎年恒例のロケーション探しの結果、今年はエキゾチックな8か所で撮影が行なわれた。バハマのハーバー島とキャット島、ハリウッド、仏領ポリネシアのフアヒネ島、ラスベガス、コロンビア、パーム・スプリングス、トルコ、タークス・カイコス諸島。パーム・スプリングスでは2003年の表紙モデル、ペトラ・ネムコバが昨年の東南アジアの大津波以来、初めてSI誌の撮影に挑んだ。ネムコバについてはSI誌コラムニスト、リック・ライリーが記事「ペトラの輝きは失われず」を寄せている。SI誌の常連モデル、アン・Vやノエミ・ルノワール、それに新人イェシカ・トスカニーニはハリウッドの丘とロサンゼルスの街角に繰り出す。SI誌お気に入りモデル、アナ・ベアトリス・バロス、フェルナンダ・モッタ、マロリー・シュナイダーは、初登場のアライン・ナカシマとともに仏領ポリネシアのフアヒネ島の絶景に集合。米大手ネットワークNBCラスベガスのスター、モリー・シムスは、ラスベガスのあちこちで、ときにはルーレット台の上でポーズを取る。コロンビアのサンペドロ・ド・マハグアでは、新人ブルックリン・デッカーとパニア・ローズ、それにSI誌2年目のモデル、オルチ・オンウェアグバの撮影が行なわれた。SI誌のベテラン・モデル、ブリジット・ホール、ダニエラ・サラヒバ、マリサ・ミラー、それに期待の新人、カルラ・キャンベルは、バハマのキャット島の白い砂のビーチに繰り出す。

1999年以来、ボディーペイント・アーティストのジョアンヌ・ゲールは、SI誌上で世界最高の美女たちの体にスプレーや筆で水着を描いてきた。今年は、1998年の表紙モデルだったハイジ・クラムが登場。ゲールがカメラマンも務め、ハイジは往年のハリウッドのグラマー・ガールの気分で4着の水着をセクシーなポーズで披露している。

ものすごーく期待して買ったけど、これは使えません。

いい写真はいくつもあるけど、印刷が悪すぎ。わら半紙のような安くてちょっと臭う紙は、裏うつりするし、印刷は粗い。おまけに半分くらい広告で、紙質が頻繁に変わるので、すごくめくりにくい。

写真集と思って買ったらがっかりします。しょぼい雑誌です。

　話題になっていたので購入しました。
　シャラポワの水着姿ということですが、それ自身は余り期待出来る
　内容ではありません。
　
　どちらかというと洋雑誌そのものの作り、また独特のCMスタイルに
　とても新鮮な味わいを感じました。
　結構この雑誌水着写真も多いですが、CMもかなり日本には無い手法で
　載せているので見ていて楽しいです。

毎年恒例SLのスイムスーツ・イシュ−である。スーパモデルに加えて毎年MLB, NHL等のスタープレイヤーのカップル・フォト、
アスリート、テニスプレイヤー、オリンピック選手もフューチャされきた。今回はマリア・シャラポワである。過去にはグラフ、クルニコワも取り上げられている。しかしながら,今回の目玉は往年のスーパーモデルたちである。beach party とあるように皆で勢ぞろいしている。あるモデルは女優、事業家としても成功している。歳を重ねて出産も経験し
女性としてすごく輝いているモデルばかりである。
It's worth getting it! Dont miss it this time!
You are gonna be sorry, if you couldn't get this swimsuit issue.
