敢えて白を選んでポップアップを組み立てた作者に敬意！
かたつむりがゆっくりと散歩に出かける、その跡を、美しいポップアップで追っていく、という構成なんですが、肝心のかたつむりは最後の最後にしか姿を現してくれません。我々はその跡＝trailを追うだけ……。
草花や蝶ちょ、虫、小動物が本当に美しく立ち上がります。かたつむりの足跡は、銀色の線で記されています。とても幻想的で、「なるほど、紙の美しさを極限まで表現するには何も彩色しないほうがいいと決めたんだなあ」と感心してしまいました。本当に美しい。
……しかし……。
ここでは敢えて言いませんが……。最後のページ。あっと驚く仕掛けが待っています。是非ご堪能あれ。
