かねてから語彙数の少なさを感じていたので、良いテキストがないか探していました。この本は今までのボキャブラリーのテキストにはない、絵と関連語句と共に覚えるという方法で、従来のものよりもはるかに楽しく覚えられると思います。なお、例文も英語で載っているので、生の英文という感じが非常に強く、単語のみならず英語による表現を学ぶのにも適してると思います。ただ、単語のレベルが難しいなと感じました。が、数ページごとにきちんと復習のページが設けてあるため、単語の難しさのわりに、楽しく学習がすすめられると思います。

星4つ以上が連発されているので，つられて購入．米国の高校生も使うこの本，かなり単語はむずかしく，ネイティブでもこんなことでもしないと覚えられないのかとさえ思う．例文もしっかりしており，かつ例文にでてくる単語にも知らないものが多くでてくる．あらためて，ネイティブにとって知ってて当たり前の単語と，非ネイティブが知ってる単語との差を痛感させられる良書．trenchant, procrastinate,craven,aloofなどぱっと意味が思い浮かばない方，是非どうぞ．

　好奇心で買ってみましたが、とにかく覚えやすいと思います。アメリカの先生方が選ばれている単語なのでよく使われる単語ばかりです。レベルとしては英検1級程度だと思いますが、他の単語集よりはるかに頭に残ります。また勉強するのがこんなに楽しい単語集は初めてです。
