前作「Succulents:The　Illustrated Dictionary」と共に非常にレベルの高い多肉本(写真集)。掲載形式は前作と同様で、写真はさらにパワーアップ！掲載種のダブりがほとんどなく(ダブっていても新しい写真になっている)、さらにマニアックな種が多く掲載されている。もちろんマニアだけでなく多肉好きの初心者でも見るだけで楽しくなるような写真集です。前作を購入された方なら絶対欲しくなる逸品ですよ。惜しむらくはハードカバーでやや値段が高いことでしょうか。その分洋書の重厚感があり本棚にはマッチしますが。

包装を開けてみると、カバーの表紙側の角が２センチ余り破れていました。また１０センチばかり折れ曲がっていました。またカバーの端が包装側に糊付けされていました。
本の内容は満足しています。
