　内容はタイトルがすべてを語っている。「ヒプノセラピーのための創造的なスクリプト」。あるいは暗示スクリプトを「創造」すること（ちなみに1988年出た最初の版はDaydreams for Discovery: A Manual for Hypnotherapists というタイトルだった）。
　American Society of Clinical HypnosisのフェローであったHunterが、２５年に渡り催眠スクリプトを採集して整理したもの。特筆すべきは、ページを「スクリプト欄」と「解説欄」に分けて、掲載したスクリプトに逐語的に解説を加えているところ。なぜ、この場合はこんなコトバを使うのかを、詳しく読み解いている。つまり、大きな催眠スクリプト集Handbook of Hypnotic Suggestions and Metaphorsであったらいいな、と思ってた解説があるということ。どの症状／問題に、どんな場合に、どのスクリプトを選ぶべきかについても、また催眠導入についても、ページを割いている。
２００ページちょっとのコンパクトさなので、Handbook of Hypnotic Suggestions and Metaphorsほどの採集数はないが、それでもこれは必携。
