2歳の娘の一押しです。本そのものは、そんなに魅力的ではありませんけれど、楽しい音楽にのせて指遊びをしたり、リズムに乗って話す英語は子供にとって、とても楽しいみたい。ちょっとご機嫌斜めで、愛情不足(？)かも、って思うときには、娘をおひざに乗せてあげてたっぷり遊ぶことにしています。

指遊びの説明も全部英語ですけれど、英語好きのママはがんばって読んでみる価値あり。どうしてもわからなかったら、音楽に合わせて指遊びを作っちゃってもいいかも。

CDと歌詞本がついたセットでこの値段は本当にお買い得といった感じです。歌詞カードには、歌詞・指遊びや振り付けの仕方はもちろんのこと、歌によってはイラスト、楽譜などもついていて楽しく英語の歌を聞けます。うちの1歳半の息子は、数回Eentsy Weentsy Spiderを指遊び付きで歌ってあげたら、もう大喜びで、もう一回、もう一回と何度もせがんできて、一緒に歌って、指遊びをします。（もちろん、息子はまだ歌を全部歌えるわけでも、全部指遊びができるわけではありませんが。）

指遊びの説明は、英語が分からないとちょっと理解しにくいかなというのもありますが、CDを聞いて、子供と楽しく自己流の踊りをしたりしているだけでも、「英語は楽しいもの」というポジティブなインプットができると思うし、1歳前のお子さんから小学生くらいのお子さんにオススメです。

現在、4歳と1歳の子供が、英語サークルで楽しく英語を学んでいるのですが、サークルで教えてもらった歌や日本でも有名な英語の歌がこの本、CDにたくさん収められています。知っている曲が次々と出てくるので、子供たちは大喜びで手遊びをしたり踊りを踊ったりしています。おまけにカセットとCD両方ついているので一つは家で、もう一つは車の中で聞くこともできます。カセット・CD・本のセットでこの値段!!おまけに充実した内容!!本当に得をした気分です!本も英語の歌詞が書いてあるだけでなく楽譜まであって自分でピアノなども弾くこともできます。｢子供に何か英語の歌のCDを｣と探しているそこのママ・パパ!ぜひお勧めです。

CDとしては格安ですが、この本の説明文（短い英文）では正確な指遊びを再現できないので想像力を働かして自分で考えるしかないです。
