1950~1970年代のパリの街角や風景を捉えたCARTIER-BRESSONの代表的写真集の１つ。

写真を趣味にする人だけでなく、色々なかたにオススメしたくなるほど素晴らしい写真の数々。見る度に新たな発見があるような、言葉を失うような素晴らしい構図、そして、1枚の写真で伝わる様々な感覚、いつ見ても新鮮な刺激を感じることのできる素敵な1冊。

またモノクロで荒い粒子のプリントを利用し、あまり絞らずに写されたいくつかの遠景写真はまるで完成度の高い水墨画を見ているかのような錯覚さえ受ける瞬間も。

私の中ではCARTIER-BRESSON最高の写真集の１つです。

ブレッソンは本当に私たちと同じ空気を吸っているんだろうか。同じ眼をもっているんだろうか。たった一枚の写真がこんなにも多くのことを知らせ、感じさせるものなのだろうか。写真の隅々にまで撮る側の気持ちが行き渡っていて、被写体が完全にブレッソンの言葉になっている。すばらしい写真集だ。

甘いキスシーン・何気ないお店の時間・パワフルなＷＯＲＫＥＲ達・
パパを見送るママと胸に抱かれた赤ちゃん…　
数え切れないBressonのParisが私を魅了します。

あなたもBressonを味わいながら、今夜ワインでも如何ですか？

会社帰りにワイン買ったりして…。
