この本は数少ない、TOEICのオフィシャル参考書の中で、最も問題数の多い一冊です。数多くあるTOEICの参考書の中でも、特に優れていると思います。何よりも、実際の試験形式とほとんど同じである点が良いと思います。特に、多くの人が頭を悩ませるリスニングのパートでは、実際の試験と同じ人の声で、練習できますし、形式も実際の試験と全く同じであったと感じました。試験なれしていない方には最適だと思います。また、それぞれのセクションごとに、問題を解くためのヒントが書かれてあって、それに沿った練習問題もあるので、弱点補強もできます。ただ、問題や、解説等はすべて英語で書かれてあるので、それらを理解できるほどのレベルの方におすすめします。この本には、ミニテスト（70問）例題（約60問）メニング・リーディング（各100問）サンプルテスト（70問）練習二回分（各200問）リスニングCD（3枚）がついています。しっかり勉強したい方にはおすすめの一冊です。

今回、TOEIC受験をするにあたり、比較的易しいテキストとこのオフィシャル本を購入しました。

TOEICテストは数回目の受験になりますが、日本で受けるのは初めてでした。そこで、まずは易しいテキストに取り組み、勘を取り戻すのに役立てました。そして、このオフィシャル本を受験前に２回こなすことにより、本番の難易度に慣れるための時間配分と戦略方法を確認しました。

やはりオフィシャル本だけあって、問題はかなり難しく、当日のTOEICテストと全体的な難易度は似ていたと思います。
ただ、リスニングのパート２で、本番では付加疑問文がかなり出ていたのにびっくりしました。（このオフィシャル本ではTag Questions が少なかったと思います。）

高得点を狙う方は、問題の信頼性においてもやはりオフィシャル本を使用して欲しいと思います。（中得点狙いの方には単に”難しい”で終わってしまう可能性がありますが・・。）

4.0 out of 5 stars TOEICリニューアル前のラストスパート(特にリスニング)に！！, 2005/7/17
現行TOEICのちゃんとした解説が付いた唯一(日本語版は、ほぼ同じのようなので除外します)の過去問集だと思います。テスト開催者のみが過去問集を出版しているというのは、不公平な気もしますが．．．効果から言えば星５つなのですが、解説の内容は平均的と感じたのと値段が高めなので、星を一つ減らしました。

私の場合、910点前後を獲得した時点で本書(英語版)を使用し、付属のCDを繰り返し聞くことにより、初のリスニング満点を獲ることが出来ました(スピードを上げて聞いた効果があったのかもしれません)。TOEIC受験前にこの教材に付属の音源を繰り返し聞いているおかげか、最初にリスニング満点を取ってから安定してリスニング満点を獲得出来ています。ほかのかたも指摘されていましたが、リスニングを読み上げる声が本番と非常に似ている(多分同じ人が朗読)ことが大きいと思います。

また、問題のレベルがが本試験のものに近いので、リーディングセクションの時間配分の確認にも有効だったと思います。

貴重な過去問集だと思っていたので、知人には「800点或いはもっと高得点を取ってから、終盤のステップアップに使え」と薦めていたのですが、2006年 5月からTOEICがリニューアルされる(IPテストのリニューアルは2007年)ということが発表されましたので、使われたことが無いかたは、レベルに関わり無くこの教材を使って残り少ない現行TOEICでのラストスパートを狙われてはいかがかと思います。

日本語版２冊の内容が英語版１冊に収録されているようですが、英語版の解説は英語ですので、英語の解説を読む自信の無いかたには日本語版(TOEIC公式ガイド&問題集)をお勧めします。
