いろんな育児本をよみましたが、具体例が著者それぞれ違ってまったく実現できないし、無理が多い。でもこの本は基本的な精神の持ち方がかかれていて、読んでいても疲れない。なるほどと言うことが多いし、実行しても自分の気分も落ち着く。
外国の本に多い、日本では変だという内容もなく、非常に共感できる。
初めの詩の内容を具体的にしてある本文も分かりやすい。
おすすめです。

う〜ん、評判どおり、いい本ですね。
・本全体を通して、親が子供を心から愛して接することの重要さを説いています。
・具体的な状況例が沢山書いてあって、自然に（ちょっとずつ）こういうときはこうしようというコツが身につくように感じます。
・本の前半では、「子供をしかるときは、子供自体をしかるのではなく、子供がした事に対してのみしかるように」ということが書いてある。自分なりに解釈するとこんな感じか→「なにやってるの！だめな子ね」は最悪の言葉。「どうしたの？○○しちゃいけないでしょ？花子もわかってるよね。パパ、花子のこと大好きだよ、もう○○はやめようね」がＯＫかな・・・
・本の後半は、子供にとって親は絶対的な存在、その親が心から愛情で子供に接することがどれほど子供にとって重要かを繰り返し述べています。
読んだ後、子供への接し方が変わっています。繰り返し読んで内容を身に付けたい良書です。

「子は親の鏡」

けなされて育つと、子どもは人をけなすようになる

とげとげした家庭で育つと、子どもは乱暴になる

不安な気持ちで育てると、子どもも不安になる

「かわいそうな子だ」と言って育てると、子どもはみじめな気持ちになる

子どもを馬鹿にすると、引っ込み思案な子になる

親が他人を羨んでばかりいると、子どもも人を羨むようになる

叱りつけてばかりいると、子どもは「自分は悪い子なんだ」と思ってしまう

励ましてあげれば、子どもは自信を持つようになる

広い心で接すれば、キレる子にはならない

誉めてあげれば、子どもは明るい子に育つ

愛してあげれば、子どもは人を愛することを学ぶ

認めてあげれば、子どもは自分が好きになる

見つめてあげれば、子どもは頑張り屋になる

分かち合うことを教えれば、子どもは思いやりを学ぶ

親が正直であれば、子どもは正直であることの大切さを知る

子どもに公平であれば、子どもは正義感のある子に育つ

やさしく思いやりを持って育てれば、子どもはやさしい子に育つ

守ってあげれば、子どもは強い子に育つ

和気あいあいとした家庭で育てば、子どもは、この世の中はいいところだと思えるようになる

子育てに知恵が実例を交えながら語られています。
すべての人にふれてもらいたい良書です。

僕も人に接する時のバイブルとして、いつでもなんでも読もうと思います。
