About the Author
Robert M. Parker, Jr., has been the author and publisher of The Wine Advocate for over twenty-five years. He has won countless awards, including two of France's highest presidential honors: in 1993, President Francois Mitterrand pronounced him a Chevalier dans l'Ordre National du Merite. In 1999, President Jacques Chirac signed a decree appointing Parker a Chevalier dans L'Ordre de la Legion d'Honneur, and in 2005, elevated his title to Officier. He is the author of many books about wine, including Bordeaux, Burgundy, The Wines of the Rhône Valley, and Parker's Wine Buyer's Guide. He lives in Maryland with his wife, Patricia, his daughter, Maia, and numerous basset hounds and English bulldogs.

最も参考になったカスタマーレビュー   9 人中、9人の方が、｢このレビューが参考になった｣と投票しています。 5つ星のうち 4.0 PP（パーカーポイント）の最新データベース, 2008/11/11 By  wineloversesame (京都府) - レビューをすべて見る 　ワイン売り場でよく見かけるＰＰ（パーカーポイント）のデータ集です。前回の第６版から６年経過し、大幅に改訂されて２００８年の１０月に出版されました。生産者ごとに、現在市場で手に入る最近５〜８年程度のヴィンテージのテイスティングに基づく点数を掲載している点は前回までと同じですが、今回は、一本ごとのテイスティングコメントはばっさり削除され、その代わり、掲載データが大幅に増えています。副題には８，０００本の評価と書かれていますが、おそらく、６版の１０倍近いワインが掲載されていると思われます。また、一本ごとの価格帯は省略され、生産者ごとに価格帯が表示されるようになりました。その代わり、飲み頃のデータは、一覧表中に記載され、分かりやすくなっています。 　今回の改訂の趣旨として、より多くの地域のワインをとりあげたかったとパーカーが書いているように、これまで、個別のデータが載っていなかったドイツ、ロワール、アルゼンチン、チリなどのワインの個別の評価が掲載されています。 　６版までは、ワインのテイスティング結果についてのパーカーの独特の言い回しで、ワインの微妙なニュアンスを読み取るのが楽しかったのですが、一方、掲載データの多い生産者では目的のワインのコメントを探すのに苦労した本でした。今回の改訂では、文章の量が減り、本というよりＰＰと飲み頃のクイックリファレンスのデータベースという色彩が強くなっています。その意味では、英語が苦手な人でも使いやすくなっているといえると思います。 　ワインごとの価格情報がなくなったのは残念ですが、もともと米国と日本では異なるし、時間とともに変わるものなので、やはり、ワインを買うときによいヴィンテージなのかどうか、そして買ったワインをいつごろ飲むべきかについてのデータが集約されている本書は、ワインを買い、熟成させて飲む同好者にとって、とりあえず今手元においておくべき一冊といえるのではないでしょうか。 コメント コメント | ブックマーク | このレビューは参考になりましたか？ はい いいえ (報告する) あなたの意見や感想を教えてください: 自分のレビューを作成する › すべてのカスタマーレビューを見る（ 件）		カスタマーレビューの検索 この商品のカスタマーレビューだけを検索する
