英語教室で読むイースターの本を探していた時にこの本を見つけました。イラストがかわいらしいという事と、また子供が好きなフラップブックだという事に惹かれ購入しました。かわいいい動物の子供たちがタイトルどおりエッグハントをしています。各ページのフラップに隠されているのはいずれもイースターに関連するものばかり。イースターを知らない子供たちにイメージを定着されるのにもってこいの本だと思いました。

イースターをキリスト教ではない子どもに説明するより、エッグハントの楽しさを教えたい。と選んだ本です。
普段お教室で使っている程度の英語「What's in the closet?]
を読み、フリップをめくると帽子をかぶった女の子が
[It's a beautiful Easter bonnet,but no eggs here.]とでてきます。
イースターにちなんだものがでてくるのもすごくいいです。

お庭や公園でイースターパーティーができずに室内でエッグハントをすることになったで、まずこれを読んだら、皆これからやることをすぐに理解できました。

由来は説明しきれないので、英語教室ではこの本からはいっていくことをおすすめします。
