できるだけたくさんの詩が書いてあるマザーグース絵本がほしいと思い、
本屋さんであれこれと見比べて決めた１冊です。この絵本は、大きさ・
詩の量・躍動感のあるイラスト、すべてにおいて迫力があります。

ハンプティ・ダンプティをはじめ、王様、お姫様、兵隊、動物たち、虫、

鳥、植物、雲、船の帆、ドレスのフリル･･･どれも絵本の中で生き生きと
した動きがあり、詩のリズムと重なって一層愉快なものになっています。

イラストだけを楽しんでもよし、言葉遊びをしてもよし、それぞれの絵から
お話を創作するのもよし。想像力をかきたてる要素がたくさん盛り込まれて
いると思います。

最後の３ページ分はインデックスになっています。
各詩の１行目がＡＢＣ順に並んでいて、マザーグース辞典という感じです。

ちなみに大きさは、たて28.2cm×よこ22.3cm×厚さ1.6cm
コンパクトなサイズの絵本をご希望の方には向かないと思いますが、
内容の充実度は大満足できると思います。とてもオススメです！！

味のある、Arnoldの絵（frog&toadでお馴染み）が、所狭しとあります。勿論オールカラー。最後に作品目次があります。
ハンプティダンプティは、塀を転げ落ちるところが、１コマづつ描写されたり、色々と工夫されています。眺めているだけでも、幸せな気分になる本です。
このボリュームで、この価格、お得感満点の、是非、お勧めしたい１冊です。

色々な歌を，犬がメインのとこは犬、とかそこから次の物語が始まるような展開性をもったイラストが凄くうまくできているなぁと、感心しながら見てます。

１５年前に、図書館で借りて以来、大好きな絵本です。最近になって、やっぱり手に入れたくなったのですが、なんと絶版してまして・・・。そしたら、こちらのページで、他社から出ているのを発見しました。本が届いた時、とってもうれしかったです！ありがとうございました。
