「空色勾玉」の翻訳本を購入したことがあります。
数十ページで読破を断念してしまいました。

今度こそという意気込みで購入しました。
「空色勾玉」の翻訳はすばらしいので、逆に欧米の文化に根付いた単語を知らない人間にとっては、読み進みにくかったという経験があります。

精霊の守人は、英語版を読みながら、単語帳を作ろうと思っています。

精霊の守人は、アニメの造りが、やや低学年向けになてちたのが残念でした。
それでも英語版を作ってもらえると、本書を読み進むのに役立つのでうれしいかもしれません。

今年は洞爺湖でサミットが行われ、先住民と認められたアイヌについても紹介されたことと思います。
日本では、精霊との暮らしをアイヌや東北の農村地帯では脈々と受け継いできました。
アニミズムは一神教の人々には未開の文明と思われてきましたが、奥深い精神性は２１世紀の宝だと思います。残念ながら地方の疲弊とともに文化も消えかかっています。
この翻訳により、海外の人々にも日本の気候風土が育んだ「精霊との暮らし」を味わってもらえるのではと期待しています。
外の視線により、日本でも再考察してもらうチャンスになると思います。まだ精霊が潜む森を日本は持っている！
