私はＵＳＡのamazonから購入しましたが、日本に出来たので、とてもうれしく思っております。さて、学生時代の英語学習に疑問を持っておられる方、もう一度基礎から英語をやり直したい方、この本１冊勉強すれば、基本的な事は充分です。イラストで説明がなされていますので、わかりやすいですよ。もちろん現役の学生の方も、何事も基本が大事です。私はこのテキストをおすすめします。

　英語の勉強がまったくの初心者という友人が使用していてとても大変そうでしたが、日本で英語教育を受けてきた人であれば、やさしすぎて手応えのない内容だと思います。しかし、学生時代に英語が苦手だった私には、文法を確認しながら進んでいけるし、日常使える簡単な英語なのでとても助かりました。

この本には安価な別売カセットテープがあり、ほとんどの例文が収録されています。アメリカ英語版に添付のオーディオＣＤは収録例文数が少ないのでこちらの方がお勧めです。通勤時にカーオーディオで聞きながらシャドーイングしています。ＣＤ-Ｒに焼いてユニット毎にリピートできるようにしています。イギリス英語ですが、とても自然な英語ばかりで会話練習に最適です。日本の英語教材は種類が豊富で自分のテーマに合ったものが選べる反面、自然でない例文がたまに混ざっており、どうも好きになれません。
