先ず表紙の写真にノックダウン。一目惚れです。最高の演出に頭の中が真っ白になりそうでした。内容は表紙からも連想出来る通り、世界の色々な図書館(ParisやLondonを始め特に欧州が多め)での書物等の陳列、建築様式･内装インテリア等の融合が生み出す壮大な空間の広がりなどと、色々な視点から大変面白く見ることが出来ます。美しいの一言です。書籍の傷み具合もまた格別、アンティークな装いが痺れます。また別の意味でインテリア装飾などの参考にもなったりしますね。沢山のヒントが隠されています。書籍の数もさることながら、スモールサイズでも良いから、こんな書斎があったら毎日ワクワク楽しいのになどと想像力を掻き立ててページを捲ることが出来ました。

世界の図書館の写真集。圧巻の一言。

デザイン書籍のように
30cm X 25cm X 厚さ3cmの大型書籍です。

表紙にあるように、何層にもなった、
大きな図書館を、世界中巡って撮影した本。
本好き、図書館好き、そんな人にはたまらない一冊。

眺めているだけで、様々な好奇心が沸いてくる写真集。
近未来的なものから歴史的なものまで、図書館の種類も様々。
扱っている題材も構図や色合いも素晴らしい。

ただ、恐らく無数にある写真の中から厳選されたものを選んでいる
のだろうけれど、願わくばもっと、掲載する写真の枚数を多くして欲しかった。
デザイン上、片面１ページのみの掲載という部分が多かったので。

とはいえ、ボリュームが無いわけではなく、これは無いものねだりかも
しれません。
