算数やパズルが得意、だけど運動はまったく苦手な主人公の男の子。
お父さんはそんな息子を鍛えるべく、アドベンチャーキャンプに連れ出す。
お気に入りのテディベアは連れて行けず、不安な気持ちにいっぱいになる。
案の定、崖くだりでは転落しそうになるし、散々な目にあう。
果たして、無事家に帰れるのか・・・。

アメリカでは子供だけで参加するキャンプが盛んなようですが、そんな中
悪戦苦闘する主人公にエールを送りたくなる本でした。
近況を家族に伝える葉書の挿絵が楽しいです。
