スターウォーズを好きな人にとってはたまらない作品だと思います。
本は今までの作品と比べても分厚いです。
いつも通り、中には大きく飛び出す仕掛けがあり、両側にもページがあります。
今回は更に小さいペーシがあり、細かい仕掛けが作られています。

そして今回の目玉はなんといっても光るライフセイバーです。
テレビで見たのでどんなものか知っていたにもかかわらず、実際に見ると「おぉ〜」と言ってしまいました。
買う前は「何度も開いてるうちに光がつかなくなったらどうしよう」と思っていましたが、本の後ろにはちゃんと電池交換(ちなみにボタン電池です)できるようになっていました。

あと、個人的に今まではサブダ作品と比べて仕掛けが壊れていることが多かったレインハートの作品。
今回は前作よりも紙が更に丈夫になっていて、仕掛けも壊れていませんでした。

スターウォーズファン、POP-UPファンの両方にお勧めできます。
６つの大きな見開きと多数の小さな仕掛けで構成されたスターウォーズ図鑑です。
世界／クリーチャー／宇宙船／モスアイズリー／キャラクター／ジェダイvsシス
という大まかなカテゴリで、意外と多くの項目を紹介しています。私の好きな
「カーボン冷凍ハンソロ」や「アクバー提督」も、ちゃんと収録されていてうれし
かったです。作者のラインハートさんが好きで好きでたまらない題材だけあって、
イラストも仕掛けもいい具合です。イラストは基本的に忠実描写、味付け程度に
アレンジしてありますが、レイア姫、良いです。
ダースベイダーの巨大なマスクの中には老アナキンがいるし、ルークとベイダーの
対決ではライトサーベルが光ります。大仕掛けもですが、今回一番良かったのは、
レイア姫でした。開くとフードをはずすアクションにはびっくりです。

スターウォーズ好きの男性に、ギフトとして贈りました。
かなりコアなファンの方だったんですが、喜んでもらえましたよ。
最後のページの、ダースベイダーの中からベイダー卿が見え隠れしているのがツボだとか。
ポップアップの素晴らしさはさることながら、情報量の多さも受けたようです。
