    題名は聞いたことがあっても、ストーリーは知らなかったお話。
    ちょっと不思議で、ちょっと悲しいお話ですね。
    それにしても400 wrodsとは思えないくらい雰囲気出してます。
    ただ名前がフランス語のせいか、全然覚えられないし、発音できないよ~。
    超初心者の語学力でもすらすら読めるし、引き込まれる内容、
    とってもgoodな一冊。

    ガストン・ルルーの原作が400語彙でシンプルに要約されています。原作は1911年初版なので暗く重々しい印象と思っていましたが、簡単な会話文をうまくつなぎ、わかりやすく生き生きとした語り口で物語のあらすじがまとめられています。舞台や映画を見た方なら、クリスティーヌ、ラウル、メグ・ジリーとお馴染みの登場人物の名前が出てくるだけで嬉しくなるはず。思いがけず、怪人のファーストネームと出生地も知ることができました！

    使用語彙数400字のシリーズのひとつ。
    かの有名な「オペラ座の怪人」です。

    原作のストーリーを知らないので、どの位話を略しているのか判りませんが、
    楽しんで読みました。
    挿絵とストーリーの雰囲気が、よくあっていたと思います。
    今後、原作を読めるようになったら読んでみたい作品の一つです。
