　ペンギンの親子のやさしい顔にひかれ衝動買いしました。期待通り、とてもほっとさせてくれる親子のやりとり。
下の三歳の息子はページをめくるたびペンギンの親子と同じことをしてあげると大喜び。なんと上の小学校一年の娘も同じようにするととてもうれしそうにしています。子供とスキンシップをとりながら楽しめる絵本です。

読み終わった最後は、絵本と同じように、you're wonderful ! と言って二人一緒に抱きしめると歓喜の嵐。親子共にとても幸せな気持ちにさせてくれます。

私が育児に不安を感じた頃（息子が1歳半）に買いました。
以来、親子のお気に入り。分かりやすいイラストで息子は次々にマネをして私に甘えてきます。子供と過ごすことが楽しいと実感できるダメママからの目からウロコの1冊です。　知人に贈って、同じようなリアクションが返ってきたととても喜ばれた本でもあります。

「子供にとって嬉しい瞬間はこんなとき！」
がページごとに登場します。

別に大きなイベントではなくて、日常生活の中のほんの１コマが
たくさんあって、自分が子供のころを思い出したり、自分の子供との
生活を再認識させてくれたり、とにかく気持ちがあったか~くなる
本です。

登場するのが人間ではなくてペンギンなのもミソ。性別もわからないし

大きいペンギンと、小さいペンギンの関係も読者の想像にゆだねられている。
（ママともパパとも言わず、すべてyouで表現されているから）

星１つマイナスにしたのは、うちの子にはこの本の味わいがまだ理解できないようで、
「読んで！」って言わないからです。（個人的理由ですが）

この本を読んで、子供との生活の一瞬一瞬をもっとかみしめながら、幸せな時間を過ごそうって、思いました。
