女の子がモンスターを拾い、子猫を飼うような気持ちで地下室に隠します。
ところがモンスターは地下室の食料を勝手に食べてどんどんどんどん大きくなり、すぐに女の子の手に負えないサイズまで巨大化。
困り果てた女の子は・・・。

かわいいお話ですが、同時に子供心を結構鋭く突いていると思います。
親にちょっとした隠し事をしたつもりが、事が自分の手を離れてどんどん大きくなっていってしまう恐怖感が、巨大化するモンスターの形をとって表現されています。

イラストもかわいいけどちょっと不気味。
レベル1なので英語は超簡単。
最後はハッピーエンドです。もちろん。
