小学生の教科書が、がまくんとかえるくんとの最初の出会いでした。「ふたりはともだち」に収録されている「おてがみ」がシリーズの中で一番有名ですが、この「ふたりはきょうも」最後に収録されている「ひとりきり」を皆さんにお勧めいたします。

ちょっぴりわがままでおっちょこちょいながまくん、しっかりもので少しだけお兄さんみたいなかえるくん。お互いが大切な親友だと言うこと、かえるくんは素直に伝えることが出来るんだけど、がまくんはなかなか上手に言えなくて、少し恥ずかしいのかついついわがままを言ったり。

でもそんながまくんも、「ひとりきり」のお話の中でかえるくんが居なくなったとき、本当に大切なもの、かけがえの無いもの、それが何かってことがわかったんだね。あんなに一生懸命にかえるくんに自分の気持を伝えることが出来たんだもんね。

最後のページの挿絵を見ながら、とてもあたたかい気持になれました。ふたりの「これまで」と「これから」を象徴しているようです。
ぜひ皆さんに読んでいただきたいです。可能であれば４シリーズ全て読んでいただいた上で「ひとりきり」を読むと、より一層ちょっぴり大人になったがまくんの気持がよくわかると思います。

英語の勉強のために購入しましたが、とにかくいい。
特に最後の話のラストシーンは胸が苦しくなるような
友情で何度も読み返しました。英語がどうこうより
内容の良さに感動。

対象年齢は低いけど大人が読んでも感じるところのある
本です。絵もかわいい。シリーズの別の本を注文中ですが、
早く次を読みたくて仕方ありません。

子供の頃、私も持っていました。
小学2年の教科書に出てきてから、子供と一緒に読み始め、今では全シリーズ持っています。
どの本も、お互いを思いやる気持ちにあふれたお話ばかりで親子とも何度読んでも飽きが来ません。
こんな風に気取らずに人にやさしく出来るとすばらしいと思います。こんな風にいつも自然に気遣い合える友達がいれば幸せだと思います。
シリーズのうちどの本が一番いいか考えて読み返してみましたが、どれも甲乙つけがたくて、どれも買って間違いはないおすすめの本です！
私の気持ち的には星６つです（笑）！！
