どんなに恋愛を重ねて大人になっても、恋に落ちるとつい、分かりきっていることも見えなくなってしまう（つまり、彼が連絡くれないのは仕事が忙しいから、前の恋愛で傷ついていてことを進めるのを慎重にしているから、急な病気になって入院しているかも、もしかしたら、事故にあって死んでしまったかも・・・・などなど）、いくらでも、希望をつなげるために女性たちは言い訳を考えてしまうもの。。。。私もちょうど悩んでいるときに読みましたが、恥ずかしいほどあっていることばかりで、グレッグの言い回しに、大爆笑しつつも、情けないやら、涙がこぼれるやら、あまりにもあたりすぎて痛く、ほろ苦い涙とともにいっきに読みました。ちなみに・・・、個人的には、たとえ彼がどんなにシャイな男性だろうが、何人だろうが、何歳だろうが、恋愛に年齢も人種も国籍も関係なくこのグレッグの言っていること（男ごころ）は万国共通な気がします。

男性の愛情表現は言葉よりも行動こそ雄弁なり！
つまり行動がないのは、愛情も無いということ！

二人の著者は時には笑いをそそる言い方をしつつも、言い訳は許さない男心の本音をズバリ言ってくれて私たちの不毛な恋の希望を打ち砕いてくれます。そして、あなたを大事にしてくれない彼との恋愛関係は時間の無駄！！あなたはそんな暇はない、もっと誠実な男性に愛されて素晴らしい恋愛関係を持つことができる、すべての女性は幸せになる権利が当然あるのだから・・・！と励ましてくれます。

英語の文章を読むのが苦でない人で、男性の気持ち（本音）を知りたい人にはお勧め！かなり厳しい意見もありますが、これが現実かな~と思います。
著書はドラマ「Sex and the City」などの脚本家でもあり、あくまで男の人の立場、目、経験から恋愛においての本音を厳しくかつ、面白く書いています。「彼は私の事をいったいどう思っているのだろう？」と友達と長電話して憶測したりしている時間があるなら、この本を読んだ方が近道です。

ポケットサイズで可愛い表紙。持っているだけでうれしい気分。
1ページの分量が少ないので読みやすいが、ネイティブ的言い回しは、良く分からない部分けっこうあり。私の英語力の問題かな？　でも私の興味ある恋愛分野なので、あまり苦なく読み進められました。

これを読むと男性に対して強気になれる。しつこいくらいに、「こういう男性の態度、反応は、結局あなたをそんなに好きじゃないってこと！」と忠告してくれます。
これだけ繰り返してくれれば、目も覚めるってもんです。（笑）
すばらしい〜こんなにしつこく言ってくれて。星４つにしたのは、読者からの悩み相談に答える形式のほうがよかったかな〜と思ったからです。

読んだ後に男友達から電話があり、いつもより自然に強気になりました。ぜんぜんこの本の事は、意識してなかったのに、何かが私の中で変わったようです。私としては、かなりそっけない態度でしたが、とても受けが良かったみたいです。勝手にしつこく誘ってくれました。（笑）私のように空気を読みすぎる人には、このくらい強気でちょうど手ごたえのある女性になれるらしい。その上、電話を切った後がすごい爽快感！　正直気持ちよかったです。

男性の前では、つい優等生やいい子になってしまう女性にお勧めです。やさしさが裏目にでてしまう女性にも。
どちらにしても、この本の言ってることはあたってると思います。男性は良くも悪くも単純で、したいことはする、したくないことはしないんですね。
シンプルですが、なかなか気づかない真実。これからもこの調子でがんばるぞ
