猫叉Masterの裏の顔、「Raindrops」の対となるもう一つの世界を表現した作曲家、猫叉Master「+(プラス)」のフルアルバム。
こちらもBEMANI作品への提供曲がメインですが、「Rain〜」に比べると暗い…というよりはハードな曲で構成されています。
オリエンタルな雰囲気はそのままにベースやリズムが前面に押し出されており、コンセプト通り、暗い中にも儚さと温かさが感じられるものです。氏の独特のセンスと引き出しのバリエーションに脱帽。

こちらもオススメですがやはり「Raindrops」と合わせて聴かれることを強くオススメします。氏の描く世界の表裏を是非感じてみて下さい。
自分はコナスタの回し者ではありませんが、そっちで一緒に購入すると専用ケース付いてきますよ(笑)。

前作『Raindrops』も持っています。猫叉masterを好きになったきっかけはポップンミュージックだったので、猫叉masterに対するイメージは民族音楽風のインスト曲のイメージしかありませんでした。
しかし、『Raindrops』に収録されていたボーカルの入った曲を聴いてそんなイメージは消えました。「こんな曲も作るんだ・・・」と驚きました。
そして今作を聴いたとき、また同じ・・・いや、それ以上の衝撃を受けました。

アルバムのイメージとしては、まさにCDジャケットの通りです。なんか黒いです。
うねるベースや激しいドラム、電子音がメインの曲が多いです。いや〜、また同じアーティストに驚かされることになるとは、なんだか悔しいですね（笑）
しかも、そのベースや電子音にどこか民族的なフレーズが乗せられている曲もあります。かっこいいです。
このアルバムのように、ここまでジャケットがアルバムの中身を表しているCDもそうそうないと思います。
ちなみに1,2,15曲目は静かめなボーカル曲です。2曲目がすごく良いです。
僕のようにポップンの曲しか知らないという方に是非聴いてほしい１枚です。また、このアルバムのような猫叉masterしか知らないという方は『Raindrops』のほうも聴いてみてください。
