前作、トランスフォーマー THE GAMEはアクションゲームとすると、こちらはどちらかと言うとTPS色が強くなった気がします。
前作は割りとモッサリ感があったのですが、今回はいろんなタイミングで車などに変形できるようになったので、スピード感があります。ただその分重量感は薄く感じました。前作のほうがロボットっぽいですね。

ロボットのグラフィックも前作より荒い気がしますが、割とキレイです。

ミッションをクリアしたりしてポイントを貯めて、それで性能をUPさせられたりできたのは良かったですが、レベル上限が少ないので、割と早くレベルMAXになっちゃいます。

ミッションクリアタイムによりシルバー・ゴールドなどのメダルがもらえたり、特定のアクションを決められた回数こなすとボーナスのロックが解除されて、アニメのトランスフォーマーが数話分見れたり、コンセプトアートが見れたりできるので、やり込み要素も多くはないですけどあります。(もちろんアニメは英語です)
前作にあったキューブ集めとかは無くなっちゃいました。

日本語ができなくてもクリアは全然できますが、最後のボスが誰なのかとか解らないと思うので、一度映画トランスフォーマー・リベンジを見てからプレイするのをオススメします。

北米版・アジア版でも日本の360本体で動きます。

前作のゲームに比べたら、アクション性、操作性は格段に増したと思います、でも少しシューティングゲーム色が強いデスね。
接近戦用のコンボや溜め攻撃もあるのですが、少し使い勝手が悪い気がします、でもキャラクターもカッコ良いし、特にジェットファイアーと合体したオプティマスやダウンロードコンテンツにより使える様になるサイドスワイプスやサウンドウェーブ原作には登場しないブレイクアウェイは必見デスね。
ストーリーは原作と違う所もあります、てかほぼ違います、まぁストーリーは理解できなくても前作より充分に楽しめる作品になっています。
最後にXbox360版はハードディスクがあれば、好きな曲をBGMに出来るのでハードディスクにリンキンパークのニューディバイドを入れて流しながらゲームやると鳥肌が立つほどカッケェです。
実写版トランスフォーマーのファンでゲーム好きなら絶対損はしないです。
