日本が世界に誇るギターマエストロ島ストラトマスター豪華ゲストを迎えた初のソロアルバム!

●1998年Concerto Moonの2ndアルバム「From Father To Son」でメジャーデビュー。暗黒のJMETAL界に一筋の光を照らし、大御所の再結成や新人バンドの活性化の草分け的な存在となった。
●Concerto Moonとして6枚のアルバム、他ミニアルバム、DVD等をリリース。そして当時SABER TIGERの下山武徳と結成したDOUBLE-DEALERは、J-METAL夢のプロジェクトとして話題となり、紆余曲折を経ながら
4枚のアルバムをリリースし好セールスを記録。海外でもリリースやツアーを行うなど国内外で活躍した。
●その中心人物として、新生ギターヒーローとしての評価が国内外から高かったのが島紀史。海外アーティストやメディアから“東洋の魔法の手”と称された島のプレイは真珠の様にきめ細かく粒だったフラッシーなプレイから、人間火力発電所的な感情むき出しの表現力が他のギタリストと一線も二線も画していた。
●Concerto Moon、4thの「GATE OF TRIUMPH」というインスト主体のアルバムはあったものの純粋なソロアルバムとしては初となる今作。
●バンドとしては表現していなかった彼のルーツが垣間見える楽曲から、爆走チューンや超テクニカルなナンバー、さらにアコースティックなナンバーまでこれぞ島紀史ワールドというアルバムに仕上がっている。
●また今回は、島のキャリアで初の試みとして、マーシーバンド等で活躍中の女性VoのGI-NAをフィーチャーした楽曲を制作。メタルとポップスをバリアフリーにした小野正利も参加。
ベースは山本征史(夜叉)、ドラムはMAD大内(ex.ANTHEM)、そしてギタリストのアルバムとして見逃せないのは、リスペクトしてきた中間英明(HURRY SCUARY)と大谷レイブン(大谷令文)がゲストギタリストで参加している点。島の源流も感じ取れるギターゼウス達の競演も必聴!
●4thで圧倒的に評価の高かったJMETALインスト最高傑作「To Die For」も新録で収録!

1曲目は完全に「島節」。
彼が好きなら好きになって当然な曲だ。

アルバム全体を通して聞くと・・・・歌はいらんなぁ〜。。。そこが残念。。

インストナンバーはGATE OF〜のほうが素晴らしいが歌ものは現在のconcertoの井上よりは断然に良いです。島の世界にはやっぱり尾崎のようなメロウなボーカリストのほうがしっくり来ると思います。
