14年たった今，このアルバムが聴けて，すごく，うれしい。ホント，うれしい。
中学生の時，はじめて darker than darkness を買って，とうとう，
このアルバムまで辿り着いた。
幼いころは，みんなに聴いてほしいなんて思わなかった。
でもいまは，みんなに，このアルバムを聴いてほしいと思った。
いろんな彼らの経験が，凝縮されています。聴いてほしいです。

　今年で20周年というBUCK-TICK。まさに20年分の深み、旨みが濃縮されたかのような作品。
　言葉では『語る術が無い』作品とはこのことだ。

　アルバムを聴いて思ったのは、『懐かしさ』と『新しさ』そして何より『優しさ』だ。最近のBUCK-TICKは優しすぎな感じもするが、これはこれで一つのBUCK-TICKのかたちであろう。

　サウンドは生なバンドサウンドが主体になり初期の『JUST ONE MORE KISS』や『SIX/NINE』の頃を思い起こす。

　暗すぎず、浮かれすぎず、美しく、激しく、優しく、狂おしく、そしてイカレタ作品がまた一つ生まれた。

先行シングル２曲が共にＣＷがセルフカバーだったので結果聴き所の多い作品になった今作。
まずカントリーテイストの「1」で既に度肝を抜かれてしまいました。

Ｂ-Ｔ史上ここまでベース＆ドラムのリズム隊が顔になってるアルバムは無いですね。バス〜ミドルの音域のプレイの派手さは聴いてて爽快です。
逆に今作はギターが堅実です。
この展開からして既に新型のＢ-Ｔです。

そしてとにかく今作の素晴らしい点は今まで培ってきたＢ-Ｔの世界や様々なアイディアがすんなり溶け込んでいるとこです。
「ＤＩＥ」や「ドレス」を彷彿とさせるメロディを全く違う表現で以前の結果以上の結果を引き出すことに成功しています。
ここ最近のシングルのカップリングでセルフカバーをしたのもこういう自信の表れなのかもしれません。
新たな要素への「挑戦」ではなく「融合」。これも今作の目玉の一つです。

今作の音は一言で言うと、とても「ロール」してます。
今まで「ロック」してる作品はＰＯＰやダーク、打ち込みが入ってる入ってない、関係なく多数ありましたが
今回は軽快に転がるロールの要素がとても強いです。

そして最終曲がスピーディーで激しい「リボルバー」で終わる事によりより一層中毒性が増してます。

シングル以外の超オススメ曲は1,4,7,13です
特に7の「RAIN」は最高です。

前作で「悪魔」今作では「天使」

こんな対照的な聴き方もアリかと思います。
