「機動戦士ガンダム」に登場する水陸両用MS「ゾック」がHGUCで登場!頭部の内部メカを再現しモノアイは内部メカのレールに沿って位置の変更が可能。モノアイカバーをキズの目立たないスモークのペット素材を使用し薄肉で再現。頭部及び肩の給水口、くちばし裏の排水口など、水中MSの機能が感じられるディテールを再現。肩は回転により水陸でのアイアン・ネイルによる攻撃ポーズが再現可能。また左右のアイアン・ネイルの関節部は可動しアクション可能。

まず、箱がデカいです。思わず笑ってしまいました。箱を開けると、デカいボディパーツに細かいフレームパーツ。ほどよいパーツ数です。ツメを丁寧に作れば他はサクサク作れると思います。作り終えてみると、やはりデカい。そして前後対称ボディが面白い。デザイン上、どうしても下半身の動きは限定されますが、腰、両腕&ツメ、モノアイの可動によりゾックの圧倒的な存在感を演出することが出来ます。モノアイは同シリーズアッガイあってこその出来です。HGUCジオン系キットは秀作揃いです。ゾックも間違いなく素晴らしい出来であると言えます。デカさ、存在感を楽しんでください。

ゴッグ、ズゴックに続いて水陸両用MSの3番手としてTVに登場したゾック。その巨体と圧倒的な破壊力を持つビーム砲を装備して意気揚々と出撃したものの、ジャブロー戦では思いのほか活躍の場は少なく、その外観の異様さの割にはあっけなく倒されてしまいました。

そのゾックが、HGUCファーストガンダムシリーズ中では最高の技術力を盛り込んで、遂にキット化されます！
モノアイシールドに取り入れられる技法やMGでは既に取り入れられている内部フレーム構造の再現には賛否両論あるとは思いますが、これからのHGUCの方向性を再考することになる1品となることでしょう。

これでファーストガンダムのMSは全てHGUC化されることになりますが、コレクターであればボールのHGUCキット化も期待したいものです。GアーマーだってHGUC化されたんですしね。

フォルムはやはり異様の一言です。それはHGUCになっても変わらず、嬉しい限り。スリムにされたらキレますね。それにしてもMSというよりは機○獣やメガデ○スの仲間といった方がしっくり来るなあ…
キットの出来は最高です。プロポーションの良さは言わずもがな。1/144サイズながらモノアイが可動式、PET製モノアイカバーなど、バンダイの持つプラモ技術の全てが、惜しみなくつぎ込まれてます。
ファーストシリーズがコンプリートしましたが、近々逆シャアシリーズが展開されていくということなので、そちらの方にも期待が高まりますね!
