バランスはフラットで、「瑞々しい」「清々しい」といった言葉が思いつきます。
低音域は温かみのある音。抜けが良く心地よいです。鬱陶しさはありません。
中音域は他の音域にマスクされることもなく滑らか。ボーカルがしっかり前へ出ます。
高音域はシャリ付かず艶やか。刺さるような痛さはありません。
音場感もなかなか良いと思います。定位が甘いといったこともありません。
録音の古いJazzなどでも、良く雰囲気を伝えてきます。
ただし・・・コードがヨレヨレで絡まりやすいですね。この辺りは値段なりという感じです。
遮音性・音漏れは、背面にあるポートのせいでカナル型としては良くありませんが、
オープンのインイヤー型と比べれば良好です。電車で迷惑になるようなレベルではありません。

音質に限って言えば、この価格では信じられないくらいに素晴らしいと思います。

これまで使用してきたイヤホンはだいたい￥2〜3,000クラス。
使用対象はipodのようなポータブルプレーヤーで、
通勤中や社内での鑑賞。家でじっくり派ではありません。
そうした用途の中で、またいくつかPHILIPSのイヤホンを使ってきた中で、
これが一番気に入っています。

直前は、同PHILIPSのSHE2610を使用していましたが、
愛猫にコードを噛み切られ（涙）、こちらを衝動買い。
店頭で、パッケージのラベルに「For ipod」と書かれていたのも
ポイントです。

実際に使い始めて、音の再現性に驚いています。
今までのイヤホンでは聴こえなかった音が聞こえる。
低音〜高音の全域の音がバラツキなく響くのは、
ドンシャリ系が苦手な耳には本当に嬉しい。
ボーカルものは歌声が鮮明に、
クラシック等の楽器ものは細部の響きも忠実に拾い、
流し聞きが出来ない存在感。

SHE2610が、地下鉄等では中間音がすっぽり抜けていたの
に対して、騒音の場所でもわりと綺麗に聴こえます。
また、SHE2610での視聴時は外部の音が聞こえにくかったの
ですが、
こちらは着用していても充分会話可能。
SHE2610のコードが長さが左右同じな上
めちゃくちゃ絡みやすかったのに比べて、
こちらはその点が多少マシになっているのもありがたいです。

恣意的な音作りがなされておらず、自然でウェルバランスです。
レンジはそう広くはありませんが分解能や音の厚みは適度にあります。また、こうした特性から、鳴らす音楽のジャンルをあまり選ばず、録音の古い音源も新しい音源も素直に鳴らします。
Lossless音源などを使って広いダイナミックレンジや高い分解能など出来る限り高音質を求めたいという場合には他の高額なイヤフォンを選んだ方がよい様に思えますが、128kbpsのAACなど一般的な圧縮音源を使いつつストレス無く音楽を楽しみたいという場合には、このイヤフォンは良い選択肢の一つとなるのではないでしょうか。
