　このたび漸くリリースされたデビュー・アルバムです。デビュー・シングルから一年近く待たされました。藤岡藤巻といえば、サラリーマン社会を生きてきた中高年の悲哀・哀感を時にコミカルに時に微笑ましく描写するわけですが、その表現が中年にさしかかりつつある自分には身に染みて感じられます。歌が下手だとか、突っ込みを入れたらきりがない作品ですが、それでも否定できない魅力に溢れた「これまでどこにも存在しなかった世界」だと思います。
　こんなに絶妙な表現力で中年男の生態を描いた人がいたっけなぁ？彼らのような音楽を作る人っていたっけなぁ？と考えて、ふと思いついたのはクレイジー・キャッツですが、実際には多くの曲の作詞を担当した青島幸男はサラリーマンを経験しておらず、サラリーマンの現実から乖離している部分もあります（その点について青島がコンプレックスを持っているのは有名）。そういう意味では、藤岡藤巻はやはり日本初の「親父による親父のための音楽」なんだろうと思っています。
　「ジョン・レノンがこのアルバムを聴いていたら、こんなアルバムを作りたかった！と泣いたことだろう」(byポール・マッカートニーのファン)、「買わないといつか死ぬ」など人を喰ったコピーも可笑しいです。内容はこれまでのシングルに収録された曲が多いですが、どれも再録音で、歌詞も一部変更されてて、それがまたいっそう可笑しいです。
　ちなみにDVDはなんとPVと2006年夏に放送されたCM5本です。TVを滅多に見ないので一つも見たことがなかった自分としてはこれは最高のおまけでした。

視聴した中に「人生は川なんかじゃない。沼だ。」といった歌詞があったんだけど、その通りだと思う。
まりちゃんズも好きでしたが、藤岡藤巻での中年の悲哀の入った楽曲もいいですね。

私はまだ彼らの娘くらいの歳だけど、「ああ〜、わかるわかる」って思う歌詞が多い。
きっと彼らと同年代の方ならもっともっと共感できるんじゃないかな。

イロモノだと思っていたんだけど、実はすごく良作かもしれないです。

　すべて実話に基づいて作られたという歌詞に、ニヤリとしたり吹き出したり、不覚にもホロリとしてしまったり…。オヤジ達の実態や本音が、綺麗なメロディーとハーモニーに乗せて切々と歌われています。
　笑いながら聴いていて、ふと、ウチのダンナもこんなこと考えてるのかしら、とぎくりとしました。
　ニッポンのオヤジ達はもちろん、女房たちも必聴の１枚です。
