このゲームが登場したとき、自分は中学生ぐらいだったと思います。
子供心にもこのゲームには感動をしたのを覚えてます。
今考える結構ベタなストーリーになるんですけどねｗ

このゲームのキモはヒロイン「片桐彩子」との恋愛が一番にあるんですが、
作曲を行うのも非常に重要な要素で、プレイヤーはミニゲーム感覚ですが曲を作っていきます。
そして物語のラストで、プレイヤーはとある曲のサビのフレーズを3つから選択することになるのですが。
その選んだフレーズでEDテーマが丸々変わると言う驚きの手法がとられてました。
今でもこんな金のかかった手法がとられたゲーム無いんじゃないかな＾＾：

なんだ所詮ギャルゲーじゃん！と思われる方。
一度やってみてはどうでしょう？意外と感動できますよｗ

私は今までときめきシリーズというだけで敬遠してきた人間です。何が面白くてゲームで恋愛をしないといけないのかといった感じです。しかしこのゲームは格段に良かったです。このゲームをきっかけに他のときめきシリーズも少しはやってみましたが、私が現時点でお勧めできるのはこのドラマシリーズのみです。ギャルゲー要素は全体的に薄く、青春ドラマといった仕上がりです。彩のラブソングは「虹色の青春」「旅立ちの詩」と比較すると、男性キャラもかなり良い味を出しています。至るところにドラマ的な演出があり感動しました。片桐がヒロイン的な存在になっていますが、片桐についてあまり知らない人でも影響なく楽しめます。実際ときめきキャラ全員知らなかった私も抵抗ありませんでした。私は高校時代何に懸けるわけでもなく、ただ平凡な生活を送っていました。このゲームをやると自分もいろいろやっておけば良かったと思います。

ときめきメモリアルで登場する片桐彩子との物語。
主人公（プレイヤー）はバンドでギターと作曲を担当している。って設定です。
音ゲーの要素もあり思ったより楽しかったです（コナミの後の音ゲーにつながりを感じられますねギタフリ等の）
シナリオはシリアスでちゃらちゃらしていないから好きです。

反面、片桐ファンではない、（いきなし英語で言われると引くなどの人）もいるだろうと思われますので、そういう方にはちょっとツライ部分はぬぐえませんが、こういう青春時代があった人も多いのでは？

というわけで、片桐彩子にアレルギーを感じない人でプレイしたことないなら結構オススメです。（個人的には☆+1）
