縦スクロールのシューティングゲームです。
名作「ゼビウス」との違いは、地上と空中の概念がないことです。
ミサイル一つで、空中の敵だろうと、地上の敵だろうと撃破できます。
（スターフォースみたいに。）

最大の違い（特徴）は、「合体」による自機のパワーアップです。

途中、２号機~５号機までが地上に落ちていますので、それを拾うと、どんどんパワーアップしていきます。

アーケードゲームからの移植作ですが、非常に良く出来ています。
ゲームの難易度もそのまま移植されています。（けっこう難しい。）

ハイスコア時のネーム入れＢＧＭは、名曲が多いのですが、ファミコンへの移植の際は、どうしてもカットされてしまいます。
（一連のナムコ作品やグラディウス、魔界村など。）
でも、このゲームでは、タイトル画面のバックに、アーケード版のネーム入れの音楽が流れます。
