全１２ステージ。
ドラゴンに攫われた姫を救出するのが目的のアクション。
元々はアーケードの同名タイトルが当時はかなり人気で、ゲーセンに
行けば必ず置いてあった。

ファミコン版はアイテムが追加になり、面を進めるのを助けてくれる。
クロービスの剣もパワーアップできるので、アクションが苦手な人でも
それなりに先には進める。
各ステージ最後にはドラゴンが待ち構えており、一騎打ちになる。
ドラゴンはそれぞれに「急所」があり、そこを攻撃できればダメージが
倍になる。

ゲーム的には多少アレンジされてはいるが、ドラゴンバスターの雰囲気
は全く損なわれていない。

ドラゴンにさらわれたお姫様を助け出すというのがゲームの趣旨。
敵が待ち受けるダンジョンに侵入し、ドラゴンが住む山を目指します。
完全なアクションゲームで、剣技や魔法を駆使して、
敵を倒していきます。
盛り上がるのはボスのドラゴンとの戦闘。
割と大きなドラゴンが動きまわるので、迫力ありますよ。

アーケードからの 移植なかなかの移植度。 何故かRPGにされているがれっきとしたアクションゲームRPG部分はマップ移動のみ。 一面クリアするごとにお姫様を救出する伊達男ゲーム。 音楽もなかなか良いそして完全移植された奇声のような剣を振る音がナイス。 モタモタしていると現れるモンスターに俺涙…(T_T) 何よりも 金色カセットが嬉しくてたまらん。
