タイトルでギョッとする人は多いと思うけれど、ウドムさんが自分の
気持ちをストレートにつづった非常にプライベートなもの、という意味で
こんなタイトルになったようです（原題は「ナンスーポー（ポルノ本）」）。

ブラックジョークやストレートな表現も少なくはないけれど、読後感は
むしろほのぼのした感じ。タイ人は母親思いの人が多い印象がありますが、
この本も例に漏れず、自分の母親について書いている箇所には特に熱が
こもっているように思います。

タイのモノ・コトについてのこまごまとした記述について、よくここまで
フォローしたなあと感心する翻訳にも脱帽です。

ウドムさんは、日本で言うビートたけしさんクラスの
コメディアンだそうで、まさにこの面白さは
タイトルの“エロ本”が物語っています。
タイ文化とこの本のノリが分かるように、俗っぽく
訳したそうですが、非常に端的に表したなあと。ただ、全然内容はエロくないです。

まさに、そんなノリの本なのですが「ああ、こういうことって
日本人でも思うよね、するよね」と言う
不思議な共感が得られます。

文章の下に、写真解説が付いていてとても分かりやすいし
これからタイの文化に触れたい方、旅行などに行きたい方も
必読です。

あ、あとカバーとか帯を取った装丁が
何か好きです（笑）

タイが好きだけれども、タイ語の本はまだ読めないし、でもタイの本は興味あるしで
邦訳された貴重な本だと思い、レビューを読んで早速購入、楽しみに待っていました。
語り（訳し方？）がとても自然で目の前で喋っているかのよう。
世情を述べるウィットの利かせ方は吹きださずにいられません。
くれぐれも電車のなかでは気をつけてください。
中古本しかないのかな？タイ好きなら読む価値アリですよ。
