映画「ワーキングガール」を題材として、発音の変化~音が短縮されたり変わったり~について解説している本です。また、色々な変化が法則として一覧にされているので、ワーキングガールを使っていなくても役に立つ本だと思います。今、アルクのヒヤリングマラソン入門（一番簡単なコース）を受講中ですけど、簡単なコースでも普通に会話されていて短縮・省略・変化がありますので、この本の法則に合致すると一段と安心して進められます。（ワーキングガールでこの本を使うのは、まだまだ先になりそう・・・）この本の著者は、もっと上級の発音変化の本も出していたようですが、今売っているのはこれだけのようです。
