『一日一言シリーズ』の一冊としてコメントします。『吉田松陰一日一言』と『佐藤一斎一日一言』では、古語の各文章に対して、完全な現代語訳が付いているのに対し、この『二宮尊徳一日一言』では古語の文章でも「略解」と称した何行かのコメントが付与されているだけである。私のように、二宮尊徳翁の初心者で、かつ古語に疎いものにはお奨めできません。なお、「二宮翁夜話」でググったら、素晴らしい現代語訳が公開されていますね。

3.0 out of 5 stars 突っ込んだ言葉もあるけれど, 2008/11/28
　分限を弁えて収入の半分で生活しろとの言葉は効いた。
しかし読んでいて、神仏観、儒教観が甘すぎるのではないかと、思いました。
　日本の神仏なんて、祟りを起こして自分をアピールして祭らせたり、していて（例えば天満宮）、そんなに大した存在じゃないよ、と突っ込みたくなりました。
　しかし、貧乏なのにどうやって神仏儒教等を勉強したのかな？
　ブロンズ像では‘大学‘を読んでいるというが、どこから手に入れたのか疑問です。誰かから借りたのか。
　道教や老荘思想には触れられていず、青さ、小ささも感じました。

　佐藤一斎や安岡正篤の後だからだけではないであろう、思想の貧困さ。

学校の庭にある『二宮金次郎』を知らない人はいませんが、歴史上の学者としての『二宮尊徳』を知っている人は驚くほど少ないのではないでしょうか? 私もその1人だったのですが本書のおかげで少しは彼の事績と思想に近づくことができました。 私は通読した後でレコーダーにまとめて録音して通勤時に繰り返し聴くようにしています。 貧乏に負けず、他人の誹謗にも負けず、体制を批判するのではなく感謝と節約と工夫で江戸末期という『超格差社会』を生き抜いた二宮尊徳。 その思想は現在にも十分通用すると思います。 願わくは多くの人が本書を手にされることを…。
