５作あり、どれも趣向をこらしてある女囮捜査官　北見志穂のシリーズ、４作目は連続見立て殺人事件をあつかっています。
女性ばかりを狙っての連続殺人事件、現場の近くには死体とそっくり同じ格好をしたユカちゃん人形がおかれていた・・・。本格ミステリファンなら大喜び、そうでなくともゾクゾクしてきませんか、この設定は。

もちろん状況設定だけがよくできていても、なぜ人形がおかれていたのか、解明の部分がこじつけっぽかったりすると、上がっていたテンションもグッと下がってきて興醒めしてしまうのですが、本作ではそんなことありませんのでご安心を。

この謎とその解明以外にも読みどころが一つ。今まであまり触れられることのなかった、志穂のパートナーの袴田刑事の私生活や過去が語られます。冴えない頼りない中年男の胸の奥に秘められた、壮絶で悲しい闘いの過去と熱い魂、とくとご覧あれ！
