【総評】北野武の本を良く読む方にはさほど新しい刺激はないと思います。しかし、写真は非常にクオリティが高く、日本に奇跡的に生まれた本当の意味での「multi-talented artist」北野武をとてもよく撮っていると思います。特に渋谷陽一氏自らが撮影に参加していることには「！」でした。
しかし、北野武氏の本を読む度に「チョイワル」なんていうものがいかにくだらないもので、"毒を持ったカッコイイ"大人になる為には努力と才能と経験が必須であると思い知らされます。自分に自信を持ちながらそんな自分を笑うことも出来る本当の"ワル"の姿が良く
まとめられている一冊だと思います。

ロッキング・オンから出版されている「自叙伝シリーズ」の６冊目ですが、自叙伝と言っても時系列に沿って語られているわけではないので、この本だけ読んでも十分楽しめます。
それでも過去の本に比べるとややポジティブなたけしが浮かんでくるような感じがして、何か少し変わったのかなとも思います。還暦になったから、なんていうのはありきたりの説明でしかないのでしょうが、60歳と言うのは人間の一生でも節目になるのでしょう。この本でも時折そのような言葉が見受けられます。
今までにも何度か語られてきている、芸人になる頃の話、ビートたけしの頃、バイク事故前後のこと、映画監督北野武のことが、９つのテーマ（？）に沿って語られています。多くの顔をもつたけしを知る、格好の本でしょう。

僕からすると、ビートたけしさんは「殿」と呼ばれる存在なんですね。…「監督」「たけしさん」と呼ばれる若い方々もおりますが、漫才ブーム、そして決定的なのは「オールナイトニッポン」でのたけしさんを知る者は必然的に「殿」、と呼ばざるを得ないほど、あの時期には脳の前頭葉にまで擦り込まれた、そういう存在がたけしさんなのです。

ロッキング・オン社から、「生きる」という題で出た本著ですが、最近になって松本清張さんの「点と線」の主役になったり、また秋のヴェネチア映画祭で「監督ばんざい！」がオープニングに放映されるほどの「キタニスト」をヨーロッパでは幅広く獲得しているたけしさん。でも、多分、この本を読む限りでは…たけしさんの身体の具合は「絶不調」だったのではないか…そんな事を感じさせる本著であります。

本物と呼べる人が日本から少なくなっている現在、たけしさんの存在は、アメリカで「たけし城」がえらい人気を博している事、これを考えても「絶対に欠かせない素晴らしい知能」と僕は昔から慕っております。死と向かい合っているたけしさんの言葉の一つひとつには、とんでもない程の含蓄があります。是非、一読してたけしさんの素晴らしさ、とんでもない才能に再度触れていただきたい、そう思います。たけしさんの本は、全て「大推薦」です！
