前回の映画版で敗れたクウラだが、脳だけが生き残り、ビッグゲデスターと一体化することでコアとなり、メタルクウラとして復活です！！

大体時期的に、人造人間１９号・２０号戦といった所でしょう。前作の映画版「とびっきりの最強対最強」は、時期的に超サイヤ人悟空と１００％フリーザと戦ってた最中でしたので。

ちなみに、ここでの見所はベジータが超サイヤ人となり初登場となります。ピッコロ・悟飯・クリリンは大体ロボット兵というサポート役の位置づけになりますが。

もう、メタルクウラですが、前回のクウラと比べ、相当パワーアップしております。千切れた部分の再生後にパワーアップという機能に、瞬間移動も機械の力で出来るという機能も備えており、流石の悟空も苦戦です！！ここでベジータが登場し、２人がかりでメタルクウラを撃破するが、何と本体はビッグゲデスターのコアである！！よってメタルクウラは１台倒しただけでは、意味がありません！！

感想としては、これまでの映画版の中で「ボスキャラが大量生産される」という恐ろしい展開があったのは後にも先にもこの映画だけなのではないかと思いますね。デンデが神となって新ナメック星が出来上がって、ピッコロが神と合体してるのは、少し本編と異なって若干違和感感じましたがＤＢの映画では一番最高傑作です！！
後、クウラとベジータの相関関係が少し手抜きでしたので劇中で、せめてクウラとベジータの台詞シーンをもうちょっと増やして欲しかったですね。

5.0 out of 5 stars 巻末のキャラクター辞典は、なかなか良いです。, 2008/12/2
劇場版のアニメコミックな為、効果音とかコマ割とかは読者を考慮して新規に考案したのであろうが、アニメの動きや強調部分が読んでて伝わるなかなか好感の持てる一冊でした。
当時のオモチャの紹介等もある。
しかし、一番の魅力は、巻末のキャラクター大辞典です。これを目的に購入するのもアリだと思います。恐竜、ロボット、蛇姫、周最悪、ピゲロ、ユズカー、マロン、ライーチ、ゴズ、メズ、ガッシュ等のかなりレアなアニメオリジナルキャラクターが紹介されてます。こんな人いたっけ……って感じ。ヤムチャを「男のくせに、ちょくちょく髪型を変える」等、結構毒気のあるコメントで笑えました。
