本書は本当に初学者専用といった感じです。
相関関係，回帰，因子分析の世界観がすんなりと理解できるようになっています。
これ以上，初学者を意識した参考書は皆無といっても大げさではありません。
しかしながら，初学をコンセプトにしすぎているせいか，本来必要な専門用語が記述されていません。
例えば，重相関係数は本来は「R」で記述されることや，決定係数は「R^2」で記述されることなど。
また，重相関係数の２乗が決定係数になることなど，変数の関係性については，特に説明されていません。
その他，目的変数，従属変数，潜在変数などの違いやSEMの理解の仕方などにも触れていませんので，これらを含めた多変量解析を一通りマスターしたい方には，本書だけでは情報不足になります。
あくまでも，多変量解析の初歩の初歩としての入り口といった感じですので，自分のスキルと相談した方が良いでしょう。

他の方も書かれていますが，本当に直ぐに読み終わってしまいます。
Excelを使いながら読み進めても，３日かからないくらいでした。

　本書の内容は、回帰分析などであり、自分にとっては、差し迫って必要な知識ではなかったのですが、前作の「ハンバーガーショップ」がとてもわかりやすかったので、こちらも購入してみました。回帰分析などはEXCELなどで簡単に計算してくれますが、その意味や考え方などは教わったことがなかったのでためになりました。「ハンバーガーショップ」と同じくらい丁寧でわかりやすく、大変気に入っています。

仕事で統計処理の必要に迫られ、現在独学中です。
統計処理ソフトを使用すれば、（ソフトの解説書を見ながら）
なんとなく解析結果を出せるようになりました。
しかし、表面上の理解だけでは
間違った答えを導く恐れがありますし、
仕事をしていても面白くありません。

この本を読んで、相関係数の意味や
回帰分析の意味が、自分なりに
納得できたような気がします。
まさに目からうろこです。
最後まで飽きさせない構成もgoodです。
