サスティナブル（持続可能）な農的暮らしを求めている人の教科書、内容はかなり実践的。最後まで読むと地域通貨まで出てくる内容の深さ。
「教科書」です、できることから読んでいかないと途中で眠くなる危険あり。

　森のような循環系をどこにでも作り出すデザインの技術入門書。
植物や動物、建物の相性を考えながら関係をつくっていくことが
パーマカルチャーにおけるデザインの基本のようです。
　これから自給自足をめざした暮しに責任を持つライフスタイル、
農的な暮しを目指す方は「自然の暮しがわかる本」とあわせて読まれることをおすすめします。

まさに目からウロコ！の本。自給自足的な生活を最終目標にしているが、小さな庭や窓辺でのガーデニングにも役立つアイデアがいっぱい。いま流行のコンパニオン・プランツについても詳しく述べているし、キッチン・ガーデンのデザインなどはぜひ真似たいところ。全部をじっくり読むと、生態系や植物、人間の住まいについて、いままでとは違った目で見られるようになった。
