大学受験の時に、大変役に立ったという記憶があります。
英語の試験って、最後に長文読解という物があるでしょう？
あれは本当に語彙力があるかどうかで、取れる点数が変わってくるものです。
私はこの本と、もう一冊、同じ著者が書いた本の二冊を暗記しました。これだけでずいぶん英語の点数が上がったと思います。

しかもすんなり単語を覚えられるんですよ。オススメですね。

20年以上前に英語落ちこぼれで、理系大学受験のため渋々勉強するために使いました。
現在、メーカで英語を使う仕事をしており、実践書を探してる最中に発見しました。
まだあったですね!!　これ。表紙も当時のままで･･･　驚きです。
表紙のセンスさる事ながら、内容もちょっと恥ずかしいばかりの語呂合わせです。

正直、この本で覚えた語呂合わせはインパクトがあり、今でも幾つか覚えてます。
日本語の語呂は記憶し易く、語呂がイメージとして残っていた証拠でしょう。
英文センテンスに馴染み難い方や単語集が苦痛となる方は試す価値ありです。
英語落ちこぼれを救ってくれた1冊です。久々の出会いの感動を合せて☆５です。

語呂合わせがおもしろくて笑えるけど、強引なものは逆に覚えるのに苦労するし、正しい発音が伴わないので効果は？？？。　今も覚えている一つがSpontaneous　（スポンテイニアス：自然な、自発的な）。語呂合わせが、確か「すっぽん手に明日への自然な活力」だったと思うが、かなり笑えるけれども、どうしても肝心の「自然な」の部分より「すっぽん＝活力」　のイメージが強く、Spontaneous＝活力と覚えてしまったりした。　詰め込み式に英単語を覚えないといけない場合は使えるでしょう。

ゴロで覚えるより自分は何回も唱えて何回も書いて英単語はおぼえました。
どうしても覚えられない単語だけ使うのが良いかも。
