本書は、中学・高校6ヵ年で学ぶ数学の内容を体系的に編成したテキスト「体系数学」シリーズに準拠した参考書です。

収録範囲は、主に中1〜中2で学ぶ「幾何」分野を中心として、関連する高校「数学1」「数学A」で学ぶ内容を系統的に扱っています。

現行の学習指導要領だと、中学数学における4つの学習領域「数と式」「関数」「図形」「確率」が各学年ごとにスパイラル方式で顔を出すように構成されていることや、旧学習指導要領では中2で学んでいた「1次不等式」が、現行学習指導要領では高校1年生で学ぶ「数学1」に移行されたことなどから、体系的な配列にはなっているとは言いがたいのですが、本書ではそのような問題点が解消され、系統的な学習が出来るようになっています。

また、本書は「中学数学版 赤チャート」ともいえる存在で、各項目における導入で、その項目で学ぶ定義、公式や定理などが具体例や証明で丁寧に解説されています。
収録されている問題についても、問題の着眼点を解説した「考え方」や例題の補足や、例題に関連する程度の高い内容を「解説」で、体系立てて解説がなされています。

章末の「演習問題」には、関連する例題番号を示した「フィードバック構成」が取り入れられているので、ややレベルの高い問題でも無理なく理解することが出来ると思います。

在籍している中高一貫校で「体系数学」を教科書として使用している人はもちろんのこと、中学数学から復習したい高校生まで、幅広く使用できる1冊だと思います。

中学高校一貫のテキストはあまり多くありません。
解説が少なく、分かりにくいものもあります。
この参考書は解答が半分あるので比較的早く進めます。
問題集だけでなく参考書として辞書的に使用できます。

点や直線から、高校１年生レベルの幾何学の知識を一貫して学べるシリーズ。
前書きにもあるが、チャートとはテクニックを駆使した解法を身につける本ではなく、問題の本質をつかみ、確実な方法で問題を解くための本である。
量も多いので根気を持って取り組みたい。
問題のレベルは基礎〜やや難。最高難度の問題はないが、そんなものは出来なくてもよくて、基礎さえしっかりできていれば、高校・大学で困ることはない。
