本書は、中学・高校6ヵ年で学ぶ数学の内容を体系的に編成したテキスト「体系数学」シリーズに準拠した参考書です。
問題数は、例題＋練習＋演習問題で合計493問。

収録範囲は、主に中1〜中2で学ぶ「数と式」「関数」分野＋高校「数学1」で学ぶ＜不等式＞を扱っています。

現行の学習指導要領だと、中学数学における4つの学習領域「数と式」「関数」「図形」「確率」が各学年ごとにスパイラル方式で顔を出すように構成されていることや、旧学習指導要領では中2で学んでいた「1次不等式」が、現行学習指導要領では高校1年生で学ぶ「数学1」に移行されたことなどから、体系的な配列にはなっているとは言いがたいのですが、本書ではそのような問題点が解消され、系統的な学習が出来るようになっています。

また、本書は「中学校版 赤チャート」ともいえる存在で、各項目における導入で、その項目で学ぶ定義、公式や定理などが具体例や証明で丁寧に解説されています。
収録されている問題についても、例題で掲げた問題の着眼点を解説した「考え方」や「解答」で、簡潔明瞭な模範解答を示しつつ、「解説」で例題に関連する程度の高い内容や、「その問題の解法はなぜそう考えるのか」「別の問題にどのように適用すればよいのか」という「考え方」を体系立てて解説しています。

こういった編集方針により、本書の解説を読み込むことで、本来の意味での「応用力」が養われると思われます。

更に、章末の「演習問題」には、関連する例題番号を示した「フィードバック構成」が取り入れられているので、やや程度の高い内容でも、内容を整理・分析することで、既習の基本事項や知識に帰着させることが出来るように工夫されています。

このような「良問を"考えて"解く」という経験を早い段階からしておくことは、抽象度が増す高校数学を見据えると、非常に良いことだと思います。

これらの特徴から、在籍している中高一貫校で「体系数学」を教科書として使用している人はもちろんのこと、中学数学から復習したい高校生・再受験生まで、幅広く使用できる1冊だと思います。

例題＋類題＋演習問題の構成で貫かれています。

解説に「解き方のポイント」が書かれていて解き方のコツが分かりやすい。
大学受験で人気のあるチャート式とほぼ同じような構成で、復習もしやすく取り組みやすい内容となっています。
中高一貫の生徒だけでなく公立高校の生徒にもオススメできる一冊です！

３００以上の中学生用の参考書の評価を「高校受験研究会」というサイトにまとめておきました。
中学生の教材の使い方など勉強法も解説されていますのでぜひ足を運んでみて下さい。

さすがに教科書完全準拠してるし、解答編が本編と同じくらいの厚さで詳しく説明されているので自習用に良いかも。
欲を言えば､図解説明とか、もすこしビジュアル的な説明があれば、もっとわかりやすくなるような気がします。
さて、これで息子の目もあてられない成績がアップするか！？
