前作の「ツレがうつになりまして」と「イグアナの嫁」がセンシティブでとても良かったのにたいして、
この「その後の・・・」は、少し雑でがっかりした部分があります。
それは「その後」というテーマ、ツレさんがもう完解した立場ということから
どうしてもそうなるのかもしれませんが、前２作にあった、読者によりそってくれるような、
優しい部分が少なくなっているかなと思いました。

私は鬱病になってから3年が経ちます。現在も闘病中です。
ですから、順調に回復しているツレさんがうらやましいです。
会社にいくのもつらい状況ですが、ツレさんは会社を辞めることができてうらやましいです。
ツレさんが順調に回復している影にはテンさんの力もあったと思います。
この本を読んで、無理してはいけない。できることとできないことがある。決して焦らないこと。
ということを学びました。
私も長い闘いになりそうですが、焦らず、じっくり直したいと思います。

著者のツレはうつ病の治療に3年間かかった、と書いてあり、
うつ病が長期化している自分にとって励みとなった。

『うつ病の治療ポイント―長期化の予防とその対策』は専門的過ぎて読むのが
きつく途中で読むのをやめてしまい、
『課長かっちゃん「うつ」からの生還』は休職後に復帰できているので
長期化している自分にとっては焦る気持ちで一杯になり、
『精神科に行こう!』は心療内科や精神科に行くのをためらっている人には参考
になるのかもしれないが、面白おかしく書こうとしているのか、その文章に
違和感を覚えた。

一方、この本と前作『ツレがうつになりまして。』はうつ病になってから読んで、
参考になったし、自分と同様の症状で苦しんでいる人がいることを知り励みとなった。

NHKでは何度もうつ病に関する番組が放送されているが、うつ病に対する理解は
あまり広がっていないと思う。
自分は家族に『ツレがうつになりまして。』を読んでもらい、自分の病気が
どういう病気なのか理解してもらった。
うつ病で無い人にどんな病気なのか理解してもらうのにも最適な本だと思う。
