5.0 out of 5 stars 脇役達が正史の持つ隙間を埋めてくれます, 2008/3/26
脇役と言うにはメインに近いような人物も含まれるが、
諸葛瑾や夏侯月姫など十六人についての短編がまとめられている、
三国志正史を綿密に調べあげたうえで、
筆者なりにとらえた各人の心の動きを具に描いている、
しっかりと正史を周到しているため、矛盾や不可解さを感じることはなく、
時間や記述の空間を巧みに埋め、事実の羅列であった正史を、
事実に則した小説へ昇華させており、
各編が短編であることが惜しいと思われるような濃厚さがある。

どちらかと言えば軍師や参謀的な人物（賈ク、虞翻、許靖など）が多く、
猛将名将（ホウ徳）と言われる人物は少ない、
そのためか、本書は血湧き肉躍る三国志ではなく、
時代を超える賈クの深謀ぶりや、
生まれや境遇の中必死で藻掻く裏切り者ではない孟達など、
深謀遠慮の中で揺れ動く人々が多く書かれている。

しかし、内容にそぐわないサブタイトルだったり、
取り上げた人物よりもその周囲にウェイトが置かれていたり、
（夏侯月姫がその代表的な物で、張飛一族の話となっている）
また、歴史を題材とするに当たっては残念なことに、
石弓（弩）とか許猪（キョチョのよくある誤字）などなど、
誤植と言う以前の誤字が目立つ、三国迷としてはかなり興ざめであるが、
それを差し引いても十分に楽しめた良書である。

三国志の視点を曹操、劉備、孫権から少し外し、
彼らの側にいる脇役たちの物語です。
内容はすべて短編となっており、人物もさまざま。
年代順に並んでいるので読みやすいですし、
ほかの短編で出てきた人物が出てきて、
思わずニヤリとしちゃうこともありました。

普段は主役級の登場人物である、曹操や劉備、孫権。
彼らの側にいる孔明や関羽、陸遜などが
普段は脇役である者たちの脇役として登場しています。
特に三国志の小説などではスポットが当てられることのない
女性（甄皇后、夏候月姫（張飛の妻））の物語も載っていたのがよかったです。
